Jack's Weather Report

11/21/19

By Jack Martin on Nov 21, 2019 at 05:26 PM

Good Thursday morning,

It was a chilly Wednesday with some wind and very little rain in our area.

LA and areas to the south did see plenty of rain.

Jim was the first one to mention to me there was no rain.

Jim is now going to be our official weather spotter on the ground.

Nights that we are predicting rain, he will sleep outside to give us first had results in real time.

Jim thanks for your dedication. Is it cold at your Hope Ranch home this morning 👍😂

Good Wednesday morning,

Windy and cooler this morning as a weak weather system is rolling down the coast.

Not much rain out there, but you can see some shower activity over the coastal waters:

Take a look at the satellite and you will see the counter clockwise rotation of the cut off low.

Ones and nines day.

Good Tuesday morning, Monday was another incredibly hot November day.

High of 86 in Santa Barbara. Wow!

Today we will switch it up. Also, interesting weather pattern to our north and south.

If you look south, low pressure is spinning off shore. This is increasing the surf on south facing beaches for you surf lovers.

Good Monday morning,

OMG what a Sunday. It was a Summer Delight. I sat outside well into the evening watching football ball and Jack Ryan.

What a great series on Amazon. You have to check it out. I watch 2 episodes then had to go to bed at 9pm.

We broke a record in SB yesterday with a new high for the day of 85 degrees.

One more day of great weather. It will not be 85 in Santa Barbara, but we will still see mid to upper 70s.

To the south and in the valleys, one more really hot day. Highs in the 80s and some 90s.

Good Sunday Morning,

Not a lot of changes from Saturday's forecast. Here is a quick re-cap and El Nino forecast for 2019-2020 season.

Today, hot in Ventura and south to LA with winds 35 to 45 miles an hour. Many areas will see 90s due to off shore winds compressing and heating the air.

As always, high fire danger again.

Good Saturday morning,

The light of day has arrived and it will be a nice weekend in SB, with lots of Action in the forecast next week.

Lets start with the weekend.

In the meantime, low pressure is dropping south and we will have a cool day. The system will stall west of point conception, then continue to the Baja Saturday.

Temps will be on the rise Saturday through Monday as offshore flow and some Santa Ana wind knock on the door. Everyone will see low 80s for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Here is how it looks from the sky

Good Thursday morning,

Low pressure is moving into California today. This is bringing us cooler temps and fog.

Mid level clouds will also be part of the day.

Good Wednesday morning,

Mid way through another week, with our weather changing slightly from off shore to on shore again.

The next few days will be cooler once again with some night and morning clouds. It will also be cooler the next few days with highs only in the low 70s.

“Just perfect weather in my book.“

Our back and forth pattern will continue to change from on shore to off shore.

Lots of 1’s in the date today and happy Veteran's Day.

Sunday was quite a bit cooler than Saturday thanks to onshore flow returning.

Now we will do a slight switch back to off shore and a slight warm up.

All week long will play out with slightly warmer days followed by slightly cooler as high and low pressure changes position.
