Good Tuesday morning,

Today we see one more day of fog then the changes are on the right side with warmth, this graphic shows it all https://www.weather.gov/lox/

High pressure will build Wednesday through Sunday and we will see the warm air build each day. Coastal upper 70s to some low 80s Valleys mid to upper 80s with a few sprinkles of 90s https://zoom.earth/

Lake Nacimiento your summer weather is starting 90s there.

Monday of next week we will look at cooler weather with marine layer, but that is a long way away. The summer-like weather will be the excitement through the week.

How about those Lakers last night in overtime. That old man Lebron James was fantastic.

Good Monday morning,

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. The weather sure was the best we have had year to date.

Now it is back to work, and we have fog that will keep us cooler to start the days. This is great working weather, which will keep us cooler.

Highs will still be in the 70s, but not to warm. https://zoom.earth/ here is how it looks from the sky.

Looks like fog will stick around for the first half of the week with clearing in the afternoons.

As we get to Thursday, we will begin to warm up with some upper 70s through the rest of the week.

The valleys will have mid 70s this week with some low 80s later in the week.

Enjoy the week and perfect working weather.

Wow, what a Friday it was. The best part is today will be equally as nice. Yesterday late in the day I stopped by Hendry’s beach to view the sand after the winter storms. Where it was all rocks, slowly the sand is returning. I am sure the beaches will be packed today.

Waking up this morning it is 55 degrees and great sunny skies. Where highs today will be a few degrees cooler, it will still be in the mid to upper 70s along the coast, and mid 80s in the valleys.

Sunday another great day, but again a few more degrees cooler, still in the 70s.

Next week low 70s warming up Wednesday into the mid to upper 70s. Just great weather all week long.

Enjoy the great weekend and weather into next week

Good Friday morning,

What a fantastic day it will be.

It is going to be the hottest day of the year.

Just look at the title page for the national weather service https://www.weather.gov/lox/ today we will see the hottest day of the year.

Matter of fact the entire weekend is going to be fantastic.

Highs will be in the upper 70s ,80s and some valley areas with see low 90s.

Looking into the future, some cooling the beginning of next week, then we warm up again. As far as rain goes, it is not in the picture next week and beyond.

I think we are finally getting into the weather that makes California fantastic. This will be the case for the next 6 months.

Enjoy the great weekend and the weather we love in California, get outside and love the warm temps.

Good Wednesday morning,
High pressure and offshore flow will be the story over the next 4 days https://zoom.earth/.

Last night the low-pressure system rolled through, and we all knew it with the Northwest winds.

Now it is all about the winds turning to the Northeast. This will bring winds tonight to Montecito and areas Ventura south, with typical Santa Ana wind event, nothing crazy however. Now the good news, each day moving forward we will warm up. By Friday we will see low 80s in some locations, everyone will see 70s through the weekend. It will be a fantastic weekend to start your tan, and or get outside.

Next week we cool down for the first few days, but the good news again is the storm track is moving out of the Pacific northwest and this will keep us warmer.

Looks like we will remain in the 70s Wednesday on, with no rain in site. I think spring and warmer weather is finally on the horizon.
This is great news for all of us. I am sure everyone is ready to shed that sweatshirt and let it warm up.

Enjoy the great warm up, dust off that sun block :)

Good Monday morning,

What a great weekend it was with lots of sun, but cooler temps with high in SB of only 65 degrees.

This morning we are going to start with next Friday and Saturday's weather because this is what we have been talking about for a week now….
Offshore flow is going to bring us upper 70s and low 80s before we cool down to 70 on Sunday.

National Weather Service
forecast.weather.gov

This is the treat we have been waiting for all year to date. Get your suntan lotion out it will be beach weather.

Until Friday there really is no real action in the weather this week. Sure, a little wind Tuesday night and 10% chance for drizzle on Tuesday morning, but pretty bland weather until the offshore event begins on Thursday.

Temps will be cool today then climb a few degrees each day into Thursday. Today the low 60s then add 2 degrees each day and Thursday we will see upper 60s. The offshore wind event will begin Thursday and warm-sunny weather will be upon us for Friday and Saturday.

Have a great week, and we will look forward to the weekend warm up.

Tax day if it was not the weekend. It is fine for me, I have already paid all my taxes for 2022, ouch!

Today will be a great day, with lots of sun in Santa Barbara. If it was a little warmer it would make me happier, but 67 is ok.

The valleys will be a little warmer with highs into the low 70s. The fog is out there and will return as soon as Sunday.
https://zoom.earth/maps/satellite/#view=34.46514,-119.92508,9z.

Next week we are looking at more fog, Tuesday and Wednesday especially.
Those days will be the coolest days of the week. The good news is still out there with offshore flow moving in late in the week with a mild Santa Ana event.

This will warm everyone up especially where the winds will blow. This is predicted to be a mild event so winds in the Ventura south, areas will not be crazy.

Santa Barbara will only have the positive results of offshore. Warmer temps and no wind. This should be the best weekend with warm temps we have seen in a long time.

Mark your calendar and call your friends from out of town. It will be a chambers of commerce weekend. I guess I am really putting myself out on the limb, I hope I am right.

I personally look forward to the warmth, it has been a long cold winter and spring to date.

Have a great weekend, lots of good NBA playoff games on. Golden state plays today and the Lakers on Sunday. If you a clippers fan, they play Sunday also.

Enjoy,

Good Friday morning,

As we saw over the mountains yesterday a weak system in SCAL has caused some rain in LA. anywhere from 1/10 to a high of 1-inch https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/lox/scripts/getlocal.php?prod=LAXRRMLOS  Here no rain, but high pressure and a warm-up will arrive as soon as this low flows through today https://zoom.earth/maps/satellite/#view=26.3,-112.6,5z/date=2023-04-14,03:30,-7

Saturday some warming, but nothing crazy warm. Sunday should be the warmest day with highs in the low to mid-70s.

As always, this time of year the valleys will start to warm up with the coast starting out with some low clouds, before clearing.

Next week we will see more of the same with fog along the coast in the mornings and continued low 70s for all.

I do have some good news for later next week if you like the heat. Models are calling for a big warmup later in the week and into next weekend with our first heatwave for the season.

In the meantime enjoy cool spring weather with not a lot of excitement. Enjoy the weekend and sunshine for most. with no more rain in sight 😊

Good Wednesday morning,

May gray, June gloom in April, and the coldest season in over 50 years .
Where the rest of the country is seeing a heat wave, we are seeing a cold wave.

A weak low-pressure system is over Oregon and has pushed the cool air and fog over us. https://zoom.earth/maps/satellite/#view=35.77,-120.47,6z

Tonight this will move south over land with no rain, just cold, damp, drizzle and wind.

Thursday will be quite chilly with highs for most in the lower 60s

High pressure will begin to build in on Friday starting to warm us up.

Saturday and Sunday should be a pleasant weekend with highs in the low to mid 70s

Next week looks to continue with typical spring weather with all systems remaining to the north with pockets of wind, clouds and cool weather .

I promise it will warm up sooner then later , the weekend will be nice and we can shed our sweatshirts for the afternoon. Remember I just deliver the forecast, I don’t make it :)

Good Tuesday morning,

Not much excitement out there and that’s a good thing regarding the weather.

The fog this morning is a little deeper at 1000 feet. Clearing along the coast will be slower, with some western areas seeing no clearing.

Tonight cold air moves in which will create some wind from the Northwest, breezy but not crazy.

Wednesday a weak system hits southern California, not affecting us. Just cooler temps. If any rain it will be down below LA. https://zoom.earth/#view=30,-111.5,5z/map=live

Thursday more wind, cooler temps. No heat wave here, unlike a lot of the country.

Friday through Monday we will be on a warming trend, bringing in warmer temps for the weekend. Highs will rise into the low to mid 70s.
