Good Thursday morning,

Today we have all good news…..

The wind is over, for the most part.
Governor Newsom gave Santa Barbara county the go ahead for restaurants to open.

The holiday weekend is going to bring us great weather to get out doors.
Another day of no new cases of COVID in southern Santa Barbara county. Today we will see a great day. Highs will be in the low 80s with no winds.

Good Tuesday morning,

The wind will be the story for the next few days.

The low pressure system is pushing East and will create wind for us. Rain chance go as far south as SLO.

For us the next 2 days we will feel some wind, but nothing too crazy. Temps will begin to rise.

Good Wednesday morning,

It is going to be a great sunny day after the low pressure system passed and the wind blew any fog well out to sea.

The excitement of the day will be the fly over of 4 of the Blue angel like planes today at 11:36 in SB.

Good Tuesday morning,

A really weak cold front is rolling through this morning. This has produced 3/100 of an inch of rain to the north, and none here. Highs in the low 70s.

This will roll through bringing us just some clouds then wind this afternoon.

Wednesday, the spring time north winds kick in each night. This will keep the clouds away. Wednesday night the sundowner winds will remain in gaviota area.

Good Monday morning,

I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day, for me it was special with my 2 daughters who are both due with baby girls in June.  Blakely my two-year-old granddaughter thinks she will be in charge.

Today we will welcome some May Gray weather. Yes, typical weather for this time of year has returned to the coastal areas.

Yesterday the marine layer never broke along the coast, just over the San Macros Pass it was sunny and 80 degrees.

This week we will see a similar pattern, with fog, drizzle, and damp morning the next few days.

Good Thursday morning,

You know what really heats me up??!!, besides the heat from the weather we are having, it is listening to the news and listening to the way some of the press reports the scare tactics on COVID.

So, I have to start with this one today. Yesterday and this Morning, the local news starts out, stating 70 new cases in Santa Barbara county.

Stating the biggest jump to date!!!!

What they mention only in the small print, is 65 of those cases were in the Lompoc Jail.

Personally I don’t count people that are locked up as a threat.

Also, take a look at 100% of the new cases. They are all in north county. NOT even 1 in Santa Barbara areas.

Happy Cinco de Mayo,

It is going to be a much different year for this holiday. We in the United states treat this holiday much different than Mexico.

Unfortunately we will likely be drinking margaritas and eating tacos at home this year.

I will call Playa Azul and pick up food and margaritas to go 805-966-2860  http://laplayaazulcafe.com/  order early they will be busy….

Good Monday morning,

I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was extremely nice, with lots of beach goers.

I was there on Saturday with lots of people enjoying the great weather.

Even the sheriff’s department foot patrol and horse back patrol were roaming the beach’s to enforce social distancing.
