10 days till Christmas!

The date changes daily, but our forecast remains the same. We go from onshore to offshore every few days.

Today we start another off shore event. We will see a nice warm up for the next 2 days.

Northeast winds will pick up today in Ventura south. SB will have much less wind today.

The main story today is really the surf.  https://www.weather.gov/lox/ For all those folks you will have a good few days.

A north swell will bring some nice waves to the central coast 10 to 16 feet and Ventura 6 to 10 feet . SB will see some waves, but not like the other areas 3 to 6 feet.

Temps will be in the mid 60s today and will peak Wednesday near 70 degrees.

Wednesday night into Thursday we change again to onshore flow.

This is due to another system that will die out to the north, bringing no rain to our area. Looks like the rain will fall in SLO and north.

We will have a north wind event Thursday night in SB, then winds will shift to Ventura Friday to the northeast as we set up for another off shore event.

The weekend is looking nice in the low 70s.

Next week will remain warm for the first few days, but Tuesday night into Wednesday there is a cut off low in our future.

The models are really struggling with this, as they do with all cut-off lows. We will see how things progress as we get through the weekend.

The one thing we do know is Christmas is 10 days away, and with the virus counts rising, it will be a Christmas like no other...

COVID infections yesterday hit a record high for Santa Barbara County  with 360 cases, Monday alone.

Stay healthy, the vaccine is 1 day closer than yesterday.
