Good Tuesday morning,

Wow what a crazy day Monday and the hail Sunday night. California does not mess around, when it rains it pours. I am so happy the sunshine is back.

The first rain of the season did not hold back. Most locations in the coastal areas of SB received close to 2 inches of rain, with the mountains receiving 3 to 3.5 inches.

Here are the totals for all areas:

This morning you are waking to chilly temps, but sunshine. The sun will warm up into the low to mid 60s, giving us a chance to access the results from the storm.

I noticed lots of homes with limited Christmas lights, mine being one of those. The rain tripped lots of breakers.

It looks like we can forget about rain the rest of this week. It will be sunny and chilly especially at night in the valleys.

We will start to see a warm up and some northeast winds, with the storm system in Arizona now.

All week we should see off shore winds followed by a dry inside slider.

The weekend will remain dry with a weak system Sunday into Monday, but it seems to be keeping all rain to the north of us.

As we roll into next week, it is looking like we will see the next round of rain.

Where this is still in the extended forecast long rang models are showing a series of storms all next week starting Tuesday.

In the mean time, we will mop up after this storm, then bring in the new year.

Enjoy the day, you will need a jacket to start.
