Jack's Weather Report
7/18/19
Good Thursday morning,
July and the Summer seems to be marching too quickly.
Our weather pattern has really began to shift to dry and warmer.
Coastal areas are still having fog in the mornings, this will not change through the weekend.
Valleys and foothills are much warmer with summer like conditions and 90s.
Today the fog is at 2000 feet and clearing will occur late this morning along the coast.
Hot Weather This Weekend
Good Friday morning,
Hot Summer weather has arrived this weekend. It is going to be hot in the valleys and foothills, 90s and 100s.
Coastal still quite warm at highs in the 80s …
I think it will be beach weather …. https://www.weather.gov/lox/
Summer Will Heat Us Up
Good morning,
Did you miss me? Sorry for the 10 days off. I was on vacation then had to move into my new house.
Anyway, Jack is back!!!
For the weather, a summer heat wave is going to be here through the weekend. This spells the story:

You better check your AC, because you will need it this weekend. If you need help call Tony at Beyond Heating and Air.

Good Friday morning,
The weekend is upon us.....and the foggy weather is improving for us.
High pressure over the 5 corners will squash the marine layer for the weekend.
This will heat up inland valleys and reduce the fog period along the coast.
Everyone will see sunshine with the exception of some high clouds from tropical storm Alvin Looking in the pacific.
There are 2 areas that stand out. Hawaii and Cabo. You can see some red blobs popping from the subtropical moisture.

Good Thursday morning,
Look outside, we have a sunrise the we can see in Santa Barbara. This is a treat for us, and really just us.
Santa Ynez, Ventura and most other locations are starting out with low clouds. Clearing there will come quickly.
High pressure has pushed into the south which is keeping the dome of high pressure over us.
Low pressure over Oregon is being pushed to the north into Washington. The only affect for us will be some evening sundowner winds.
This should occur in the Refugio and gavoita area, but could affect us in SB and Goleta. Winds tonight and Friday night around sundown.
Weather wise, we are looking at more sunshine and less fog, through Tuesday at this point.
6/26/19
Good Wednesday morning,
Another day of drizzle. That will make 3 days in a row of measurable drizzle.
That is quite unusual, even for June. When we look back over the record books for 2019 there is going to be a lot of things that jump out for the rain season.
The good news is, the worst will be over after today. We will actually start to see the sun again in the afternoons.
Temps will begin to climb back to normal by the weekend.
Still quite a bit of Action in the Pacific. There is a low pressure system in the Pacific Northwest.
Good rain near Hawaii, the first tropical depression near Cabo, but harmlessly spinning in the pacific.
6/25/19
Another wet start to the day.
It has been the dampest June I can remember. Every morning seems to start with drizzle, today is the same.
Streets are all wet again. This trend continues through the week.
Low pressure system is spinning over the pacific northwest, keeping the marine layer strong and temps chilly.

No need for AC this week…you might need an umbrella this morning.

Good Monday morning,
What a treat we had on Saturday and Sunday. The sun started to peak out by 10 am. It made for a great day at the parade.
It was so much fun at the parade watching my 16 month old granddaughter loving the parade.
Today will be the same as yesterday. Sun will come out early and it will be a nice day. Summer weather is starting to arrive.
6/21/19 Summer Solstice
Welcome to Summer... ( I think 🤔!)
Today is the longest day of the year, but it will be with day light, not sunshine if you live along the coast. Someday we will be able to go to vandenburg and rocket 3000 feet in the air to see the sun on this day. I guess we could go the the airport and do the same today. This season has been quite the change from what we have been used to over the past 5 years. June gloom has been over us most of the month and May Gray produced more rain then we have ever seen in history. The good news is it is the 21st of June, and truly the summer is coming. Around September we will all be wishing for a day like today.
6/19/19
Good gloomy Wednesday morning,
June gloom is at full strength. Streets are wet and fog is at 2500 to 3000 feet thick.
If you look at the satellite you would think we had clear skies, but coastal fog is blanketing the first 3000 feet.

If you want warm and sunshine, go to palm springs. Check out the temps there. Amazing how a short distance can have a 30 to 40 degrees difference.
