Good Friday morning,

The weekend is nearing, which is always more relaxing than the work week.

Today we are starting out with warmer mornings due to Karina throwing mid to high clouds over us, and pushing the smoke East.

Good Thursday Morning,

Yes, I got up way too early this morning . “ If bars were open, I got up before last call “ I am going to need a nap today.

Today I have good news with the smoke. Karina is arriving and pushing all the smoke to the East.

There is also another system moving into the Pacific northwest that will douse the fires there.

Good Wednesday morning,

One more day of smoke, then I have some good news for us.

It looks like Thursday we will see south flow from former tropical storm Karin which will push smoke away from us.

giving us smoke free skies for the first time in 2 weeks.

Good Monday morning,

We are starting out the weather report this morning, with Portland Oregon Forecast.

There is rain in their forecast and we want their fires out.

For us we are looking at typical weather with smoke. Air quality is moderate here, so not bad. It just looks ugly.

Good Friday morning,

The weather is all about the fires these days. It is pretty crazy to look at these satellite pictures to see all the fires burning on Nor Cal and Oregon.

https://www.livescience.com/west-coast-wildfires-seen-from-space.html

This one shows how the smoke is blanketing all of the west coast.

https://www.oregonlive.com/clackamascounty/2020/09/satellite-view-shows-massive-amounts-of-smoke-from-west-coast-fires.html

Stepping a side from the fires. There is dense fog along the coast this morning. It is like pea soup out there this morning.

Good foggy Thursday morning,

Yes, Fog +Smoke = 🤢 Yuck

This is what a sunny day is like in Hell. It makes me happy that I will never have to go there.

Fires continue to burn north and south of us, creating ugly weather.

Did you see San Francisco yesterday.... that was really bad. We have it good compared to all of the folks to the north.

Good Wednesday morning,

It sure was a nice change yesterday to see the fog and some light drizzle Tuesday.

What a change from the record heat to fog and drizzle.  If you thought that was odd, take a look at the contrast in Denver where they saw 90 degrees Monday and 5 inches of snow yesterday.

For us, we are now starting the next wave of weather. A Santa Ana wind event will start up today from Ventura to LA.

Good Tuesday morning,

We survived the Heat blast. Monday afternoon, the onshore flow returned and started to blanket the beaches with fog around 4 pm.

It is interesting that days are getting shorter with darkness still out there at 6:18 this morning. Once the sun rises, you will see Fog. A coastal Eddie has also brought fog from Gaviota to LA. It is 2,000 feet thick and will keep the coast fogged in most of the day.

Wow,

What a day we had Sunday. Just incredibly Hot with records broken everywhere.

My house just off Las Positas hit a high of 103 degrees, but that’s not the strangest part.

We went to Hendry’s beach for dinner at the Boathouse. The sunset was great. It cooled off to a nice 70 there, but when I got home at 9 pm, 1 mile away it was 96 degrees due to the sundowner winds. The craziest spot was Gaviota that got to 120 degrees at 9pm.
