Interesting, looking though the entire US it is mostly clear with no rain, except for near the Canada-Great Lakes border.

Here at home we are starting out with a tropical morning and 70 degrees.

Good Tuesday morning and the last day in August,  

Looks like there are a few light showers out there is morning over the Eastern Santa Barbara mountains. This really should not amount to more then a few 100s of an inch of rain.

The real change will be in the temps, 10 to 15 degrees cooler in the valleys with 4 to 6 degrees along the coast with a deeper marine layer.

No real excitement in our weather this week.

Highs in SB will be in the mid 70s and valleys mid 80s starting Tuesday. 

Today will be the last hot day in the inland areas with 90s . Before a cool down on Tuesday

What a crazy day Wednesday, with folks commuting from Lompoc and the Santa Ynez valley.

101 was closed in both directions with only 154 as a passage, then another accident on the 154 closed that until 1:15 pm. Needless to say a lot of people turned around and went home , with a day off, because they could not get to Santa Barbara.

Are you ready for less fog and warmer weather? Ready or not, here it comes.

It looks like a high of 77 along the coast today, with some morning fog. Then low 80s the rest of the week into Monday of next week.

Good Monday morning,

The start to another work week will keep us cooler the first 2 days, then we warm up the second half of the week.

Santa Barbara will see highs around 75 degrees the next 2 days, followed by upper 70s and low 80s into the weekend.

August weather will change to June like weather today. 

There is even a few showers out there over the coastal waters.

No real excitement as August is pretty predictable, just continues with nice weather.

Good Friday the 13th,

I hope you are not superstitious. If you are, stay in bed.

Here is how the weather looks around the world. The mid west is having some real storms as indicated with the red. A few tropical systems in the Baja are drifting up towards us. With the first “Kevin” throwing some high clouds at us. On the east coast looks like the pan handle of Florida will see a tropical system creating excitement there.

Let’s drop back to Wednesday for a moment because it became quite an interesting day.

The subtropical moisture made it further north than we thought it would, and it drifted over the coastal areas.

This made for some fun rain drops and woke us up on the roofs. This all lead to a .0009 of an inch in Santa Barbara.
