Good Monday morning,

The start to another work week will keep us cooler the first 2 days, then we warm up the second half of the week.

Santa Barbara will see highs around 75 degrees the next 2 days, followed by upper 70s and low 80s into the weekend.

The valleys will also be warming as the week progresses, we will see mid 80s early in the week, warming to mid-90s the second half of the week.

As mentioned yesterday, we are getting into the heart of the hurricane season. Even here in Santa Barbara, the water temps are rising currently at 67 degrees.

That also lets me think about the upcoming rainy season and the El Nino-La Nina season. As we are all aware, we desperately need rain this year.

El Nino means warmer water and better storms, La Nina is cooler weather and less rain. Right now we are looking at a more neutral season.

The water temp now is slightly above normal, but the predictions is Neutral.  Bottom line, we just need rain.

Here is the report:

You are now up to date for the week. Have a great week and Saturday is one of the best events in Santa Barbara, ”Zoofari.“

If you have not been there, you missed out. Sadly, it is sold out for 2021 unless you know someone with extra tickets.

See you there!
