Good Wednesday morning,

As advertised, the heat is here. It looks like we will remain in the 90s through at least Saturday, Along the coast and near or above the century mark in the valleys.

It also looks like Friday will now be the hottest day.

If you are looking for relief, the beach is the spot. We were there last night for the 🌅 sunset and it was spectacular.

Good Tuesday morning,

Outside of the weather we have Amazon prime days, and the new Apple phone is being released today. Dodgers lost and tax extensions are due in 2 days. ☹

It is going to be a hot day and only get hotter on Wednesday.

Early this morning it was still in the 70s and low 80s in the foothills of SLO and LA.

Clear skies out there:

Good Monday morning,

Well it is here, the heatwave will arrive today and last through the week: https://www.weather.gov/lox/

This will give us high fire danger, because of the dry conditions. The only good news is the winds will not be that bad .

Today the heat is really going to be felt to the north.

Solvang and SLO are going to be close to 100 degrees. Even normally chilly Pismo beach is going to hit 90.

Good Friday morning,

There is not a lot of change in the forecast since yesterday, so we can make this a easy one.

Today you can see the low pressure system spinning off shore:
https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/conus_band.php?sat=G17&band=09&length=12

This system will spin down the coast and stay off the coast. Any showers will be in the coastal waters.

Today we are looking at low 70s coastal and low 80s in the valleys with the marine layer at 2500 feet. Fog will be with us into the afternoon.

Good Wednesday morning,

The cool down will continue through the end of the week for all, then a big warm up next week as Santa Ana winds redevelop.

Today the marine layer is creeping into the valleys. This will finally start to cool the Santa Ynez Valley will highs today in the lower 80s.

Here in Santa Barbara we will cool more, with highs around 75.

Good Tuesday morning,

It is really great for me to start each forecast with the date. It makes me think about what this date represents.

Today, Happy Birthday to my Daughter Christine 😀

The weather today will be very much like Monday. We are starting off with dampness along the coast with today’s highs slightly less in SB then Monday.

Highs around 78 degrees. Valleys will still be warm with upper 80s, but a little cooler.

Good Monday Morning,

Today at my house we are starting out with dampness and drizzle. It is wet out there for some coastal locations. My camera even spotted a raccoon on my steps this morning.

Today we find some low clouds and drizzle along the coast and high clouds from former hurricane Marie. This is really not going to do much to our weather, just a tropical look.

Good Wednesday morning,

Lots going on in the news, but the weather will be as predicted in the past week.

Today is the last day of the month and Thursday brings us the full Harvest moon. This will be able to be seen by all since there will be no fog Thursday morning.

Rise early and check it out. Attached is what it looked like this morning at 4:30am.

Good Tuesday morning,

If you are waking in Santa Barbara, you see quite a bit of fog. The fog, however, is 500 to 800 feet thick today so a faster burn off is likely.

If your in the valleys, get ready for very hot temps with upper 90s for you over the next 4 days:

https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-120.06683349609372&lat=34.60382391547705#.X3M-gC0iefA

In Santa Barbara a warm up is happening, but not as much due to the fog. Low 80s for us today.

Tonight, however, some light sundowner winds will make the coast clear on Wednesday morning.
