Jack's Weather Report
3/27/19
Good Wednesday morning,
Here is the low spinning off the coast north of us:
https://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/nepac/h5-loop-wv.html
Any rain out of this system will create only showers south of point conception.
The low will drop south towards us by noon and give us some light showers.
Any rain will result in very low accumulation. Looking at 1/10 to 1/4 at best in Santa Barbara and Ventura. LA will likely see only clouds and no rain.
Tonight there still will be a chance of showers, but not much of anything.
Tuesday Morning
Good Tuesday morning,
Here we go, entrenched in another work week.
Today we will see the next weather system start to roll in.
Clouds will begin to stream over the area, making it a cooler day with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
The satellite actually looks quite impressive, but the rain is really falling in the Bay Area to the Pacific Northwest.
For us we will only see the tail end of this.

3/25/19
Good Monday morning,
It sure was a nice Sunday after the little weather system washed out on Saturday.
It actually looked like it was going to rain Saturday, but just some sprits. Sunday certainly made up for Saturday with highs in the low 70s.
Today we will have another repeat of Sunday. It will even be a few degrees warmer. Highs in the mid 70s today.
https://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/nepac/h5-loop-wv.html
Tonight a weak storm system moves through to the north. Looks like north of point conception could see a little rain, but only 1/10 of an inch.
Friday and Weekend Weather
Good morning,
Yesterday’s rain in the morning was expected, but I did not think it would continue until 9:30 am.
All said and done. Rain totals were right in line with what was predicted.
Everyone along the coastal areas saw around 1/3 of a inch.
The real winners were the mountain and San Marcos Pass where 1.13 inch was dropped.
Good Thursday Morning
Look at the worm Moon… funny name for it, but that is what they call the super moon in march.
The ground is thawing and worms make their way to the surface.
Yesterday, rain was not much for SB, but other locations received around an inch of rain. The hills got an inch and downtown only .12.
Today a weak frontal system gave us a little rain this morning. If you look outside the streets are all wet.
Rain showed up around 5 am for a brief period.
There is a chance of showers all day, but this will be more over the mountains. Just like yesterday.
Where it does rain there will be ¼ inch or less.
Friday will be dry, with a weak ridge. Saturday, there is a weak system moving in.
Good Wednesday Morning
Good morning, it is Wednesday. That means it must be raining.
This has been a typical pattern for almost 2 months. Today will be no different.
The storm system that is approaching is behaving right as forecast. Last night post frontal rain produced .12 to .20 in the area.
The big winner is Butte near Naciemento with 1.30 inches. This will help to continue to fill the lake which is at 85%.
Cachuma has now hit 76%.
https://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/nepac/h5-loop-wv.html
Today expect more rain, showery in nature.
The greatest totals will be on the central coast. Rain will be spotty today with showers only.
Tuesday Change
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday was sunny, warm and dry. Today we wake to fog, damp and temps 6 to 12 degrees cooler than Monday.
A storm system is approaching, and will allow rain to fall starting tonight.
https://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/nepac/h5-loop-wv.html
Looks like 1/4 to 1/2 inch in SB, and Santa Ynez.
A little more in SLO and a little less in LA.
Wednesday looks to still have some showers, however models are backing off some on these.
Good Monday Morning
What a fantastic weekend. Highs were in the 80s and the weather reminded me of what I love about this area.
Today will be nice, but cooler. A weather system is starting to move our way and the dome of high pressure is moving east.
Tuesday the next system moves in. It looks like rain will hold off until the evening and after midnight for LA.
Wednesday looks to be showery with rain here and there.
This is not a big weather system, because there is no subtropical support.
Expect 1/3 of a inch with a little higher On the central coast and a little less in LA.

St. Patrick's Day Forecast
Good Sunday morning,
What a treat we had yesterday. Great weather. Warm sunny 😎 and perfect. if you had the day off.
I drove to LA. It hit 87 degrees in the valley. Santa Barbara did hit the 80 degree mark also.
I even sat on my deck, watched TV, the Worriors played last night for the first time in long time.
Nice to extend the indoors back outside.
Today will be pretty much the same as Saturday, but I get most of the day to enjoy the weather.
Highs will be in the upper 70s and some 80s.
The dome of high pressure is amazing to see on the satellite.
Take a look:

Weekend Heat Wave
Good Saturday morning,
Bring the warm weather on. Looks like the next 2 days will be fan-tastic.
Highs in the 70s and some low 80s. The last time LA hit 80 degrees was November 15 2018.
Look at the big dome of high pressure keeping all the clouds away:

All, if you look to the north over the ocean, this is the next weather system out of Alaska. This will affect our weather Tuesday night and Wednesday.
