Good Friday morning,
The weather is all about the fires these days. It is pretty crazy to look at these satellite pictures to see all the fires burning on Nor Cal and Oregon.

This one shows how the smoke is blanketing all of the west coast.

Stepping a side from the fires. There is dense fog along the coast this morning. It is like pea soup out there this morning.

Good foggy Thursday morning,
Yes, Fog +Smoke = 🤢 Yuck
This is what a sunny day is like in Hell. It makes me happy that I will never have to go there.
Fires continue to burn north and south of us, creating ugly weather.
Did you see San Francisco yesterday.... that was really bad. We have it good compared to all of the folks to the north.

Good Wednesday morning,
It sure was a nice change yesterday to see the fog and some light drizzle Tuesday.
What a change from the record heat to fog and drizzle. If you thought that was odd, take a look at the contrast in Denver where they saw 90 degrees Monday and 5 inches of snow yesterday.

For us, we are now starting the next wave of weather. A Santa Ana wind event will start up today from Ventura to LA.

Good Tuesday morning,
We survived the Heat blast. Monday afternoon, the onshore flow returned and started to blanket the beaches with fog around 4 pm.
It is interesting that days are getting shorter with darkness still out there at 6:18 this morning. Once the sun rises, you will see Fog. A coastal Eddie has also brought fog from Gaviota to LA. It is 2,000 feet thick and will keep the coast fogged in most of the day.

Wow,
What a day we had Sunday. Just incredibly Hot with records broken everywhere.
My house just off Las Positas hit a high of 103 degrees, but that’s not the strangest part.
We went to Hendry’s beach for dinner at the Boathouse. The sunset was great. It cooled off to a nice 70 there, but when I got home at 9 pm, 1 mile away it was 96 degrees due to the sundowner winds. The craziest spot was Gaviota that got to 120 degrees at 9pm.

Good Tuesday morning and the First day in September,
We are expecting nice weather for the next few days, but look out for the weekend. It is going to be crazy hot for all.
This graphic will spell it out. Everywhere is in red: https://www.weather.gov/lox/
We do have a few more days of seasonable weather, then the heat is on Friday.

Good Monday morning and the last day of August!
We will put another month with COVID into the history books. August will end with cooler days, as the first few days of the week will start out with morning fog and low clouds.
2000 feet thick which will make for later clearing today and Tuesday.

Good Friday morning,
It should be a great day today along the Santa Barbara coast. We are starting with clear skies and highs will be around 80 degrees. Just perfect weather......lucky me with all my family in town.

Today will be a mixed bag for other areas. The central coast and Santa Ynez will be slightly warmer then yesterday and SB to LA, a few degrees cooler.

Good Thursday morning,
A warm day on tap for us, before a cool down begins for the weekend. Temps will still remain around normal for this time of year.
Today all the Action is in the tropical locations in the Gulf and Pacific.
Laura has landed and I am sure we will see lots of messy photos on the news.
