Good Wednesday October the 2nd. It is a new month with typical fall weather.

It is starting out very cool in the Santa Ynez mountains with 36 degrees, 53 in SB.

This is very typical as the air cools at night and days become shorter. So far this week we have had perfect weather, with the exception of cooler mornings. Off shore winds will come into play today and temps will warm up, especially in Santa Ana wind areas.

Good Monday morning,

This week really is the end of September and the start of October.

If you are waking up today, you may not know what time of the year it is. You would likely think Fall.

This morning it is quite brisk in the Santa Ynez valley, 41 degrees to start the day.

Santa Barbara is 12 degrees warmer at 53.

This week we are looking at a great week to work outdoors.

Good Friday morning,

Let’s start with Thursday. Was that a funky day? 6am we started with temp of 72 degrees, because of the stalled low spinning counter clockwise over the Nevada-CA.

Then in the afternoon, the fog rolled in and kept it cool all day. It felt quite tropical.

That’s what happens when lows from the south drift our way.

Good Thursday morning,

Are you ready for a big cool down?

We have a few different systems to look at today and into the weekend.

Let’s start with the low pressure system that drifted up from Arizona. This is spinning counter clockwise and sitting in place with little movement.

Very unusual for us to see this.

Take a look at the low spinning down by the boarder of Mexico and CA and Arizona.

This has come up from the south and will give the southern part of the state a good chance for rain today.

For us, this will not affect us at all, but it is interesting to see on the satellite, it looks like a little hurricane spinning.

Good Tuesday morning,

Interesting weather this week. We will be all over the board. It is feeling and starting to look like Fall.

Today, we will have a Santa Ana wind event mid morning in Ventura south. Even in Montecito hills. This will be short lived and will really do nothing more than heat up the day. Coastal areas and coastal valleys should be 10 to 20 degrees hotter than yesterday. Expect plenty of triple digits in areas like woodlands hills, and other coastal valleys.

Good Monday morning,

This week, the weather is going to be all over the map for our area.

Today we are starting out with some low fog. Normally I can see the glow of lights at Brian's house. Today it is blanketed with some fog.

The fog will burn off quickly and highs will be cooler than the weekend around 80, but 10 to 15 degrees cooler in the valleys.

9/20/19 Weekend Weather

By Jack Martin on Sep 20, 2019 at 03:18 PM

Good Friday morning,

The weekend is right around the corner, and our weather will be great.

Warming temps, off shore winds. Spell dry sunny weather. Highs in the mid 80s through next Wednesday. We will also see off shore northeast winds affecting Santa Ana areas at time. Nothing over the top, but it will keep us warm.

Take a look at the satellite picture. Cabo San Lucas is not the place to be this weekend.

9s and 1s in the date today.... it also looks like we will have a cooler day, with highs in the 70s. This will make for a perfect Thursday.

Good Tuesday morning,

Hope you enjoyed the picture of my roof. I accidentally sent them to the entire weather group....Oops!!

Our weather this week is really going to be consistent through Thursday.

We have a few systems that are dropping down from the Pacific Northwest.
