Rain is getting closer

By Jack Martin on Mar 10, 2016 at 05:30 PM

Good Thursday morning,

All is on track now. Looks like rain will start Friday morning north to south.

This is another good rain maker that will start up in the Santa Ynez Valley between 9am -11 am Friday, and Santa Barbara 10 to noon. Then move south during the afternoon.

It’s looking like we will have another 3 to 5 hours of moderate to heavy rain, with good south flow, which will enhance the rain in Santa Barbara. Totals are still right on track.

1 to 1 1/2 inch for coastal SB.

2 inches or so in the mountains

1/2 to an inch everywhere else.

There is also a chance of thundershowers. This can bring some totals up in areas.

Saturday is looking dry and seasonable.

Sunday another good sized system moves into Northern California. This is going to bring them lots of rain, but may not bring us much.

What rain we get will be Sunday though Monday.

We will watch this as it gets closer. In the meantime . Enjoy a good rain starting Friday morning...
