Rain Update

Wow, that was fun...that rain woke me up last night!

Love it when the skies open up and the rain blows sideways. Well that's today. The wind was blowing this morning from the northwest. This is very unusual for rain to come from this direction.

It is going to be a wild day of rain and wind. I do not think it would be a good idea to get lost in the mountains today.

This storm is going to be pretty dynamic. It will rain really hard at times, but there is not nearly as much moisture it the air. This will likely reduce the overall rain totals, but the run off will be fast and help fill the reservoirs or your yards or roofs.

Rain will turn to showers later this morning. There should be pretty heavy showers on and off after the main front goes through.

Snow, well that's going to be around 4000 feet. Snow for sure in mountains. The grape vine is going to be a mess. High winds and snow. I would not be surprised that it would be closed for at least a few hours today.

You know what that means, grid lock on the 101.

Tonight the winds will be here. It should be pretty wild out there as the front passes. Northwest wind will make it crazy again.

Things calm on Tuesday morning, and then it looks like nice dry weather through Thursday.

The next rain looks like Friday night. It’s not looking like a huge storm, but we will see some rain. The models are flip flopping back and forth, but we are expecting a dry Saturday then another system Sunday.

Enough of the extended forecast…. today is where the ACTION is...        Rain emojiHave a fun day!

Thank you for coming up to do the demo for the Career Fair at Los Prietos. All the boys were fascinated by the chance to see how sheet metal is formed, and to do some of it themselves. A hands-on demo is always the most effective in getting the boys involved. We really appreciate your arranging the demo, especially since you had already put so much energy into the talk and demo you did for the Construction Technology class. The teaching and Probation staff were all impressed by how involved the boys were in your demo.
