Thursday Forecast Update

By Jack Martin on Mar 03, 2016 at 04:16 PM

Good Thursday morning,

Well, another week coming to a close.

Today, we will see the start to see some changes in our weather pattern. You will notice lots of high clouds out there; this is thanks to a weak cold front that is pushing over us. Models had suggested rain chances overnight tonight into Friday, but now it looks like at best fog and drizzle.

Rain chances are slightly better in Santa Ynez and to the north, but again only sprinkles and possible drizzle. This is the same for Friday night into Saturday. We will have a better chance to see some precipitation .

The real rain event will begin Saturday evening into Sunday. This first system will bring 3 to 5 hours of moderate to heavy rain. Saturday's system will be warmer with higher snow levels.

Sunday will be wet, but might be mostly rain free until the evening. Then over night the next system will affect us. This will be a much colder system. Snow levels will drop to the 4000 to 5000 foot range.

Rain will start Sunday night, with another round of heavy rain for a 3 to 5 hour period. Rain will likely affect us Monday morning and clearing by noon.

It’s looking like we will see dry weather Tuesday and Wednesday, and then more rain possibly later in the week.

Ok that's the good news for all... Looks like we will see lots of rain this weekend, but if it all works out the day time hours might be fairly dry, with the rain falling in the darker hours...

Have a great day!

Thanks for the nice job you did on my house. My tenant appreciated how considerate and efficient your team was and commented on the excellent job they did. My husband and I went up to inspect the job yesterday, and we were very pleased.
