Excitement in the air....

You can't see it through the Fog, but we are beginning to feel the changes that March is going to bring us.

Congrats, we survived one of the driest Februarys ever, and it is now March 1st.

The first day of March is looking like it should this time of year.

Along the coastal areas we are seeing a dense fog, Inland not so much.

Fog along the coast will keep the temps down and then will clear to sunshine later this morning.

It will be wet on those roofs first thing this morning thanks to the low marine later. The inland area will still be seeing a heat wave, with temps a good 15 degrees above normal. Expect highs for valleys in the 80s today.

Coastal areas might not break the 60s.

Wednesday the cooling trend starts, also the zonal flow will begin to drop. This will bring the chances of rain back for Thursday and Thursday night.

The Santa Ynez Valley to the north might see a little rain with this first system, but SB south is only looking damp with fog, possible some drizzle.

The weekend is looking good for widespread rain for all. Rain total are not out yet, but looking like the first system can bring 1/2 to 1 inch.

That's not the good news however, It looks like next week we can see rain on and off most of the week, with a series of systems.

Some are talking about 3 plus inches. Still a little premature to be talking about that, but it is a good sign for our March miracle.

Have a great day, drive safely. The fog is pretty thick....
