Good Friday morning,

Yesterday’s weather was quite interesting as showers tried to back door there way over the mountains. It was interest to see clouds - showers move from the east towards our mountains. This typically would result in no rain here, but showers East of our local mountains

Today, we will see low clouds and fog to start the day, but warm in the low 50s.

The first system is moving over Arizona and will only affect far Southern California with a chance for showers this afternoon. For us a weak ridge will give us a reasonable day with maybe some clearing this afternoon. Highs along the coast in the upper 60s and valleys in the low 70s

Saturday another system moves in. This will deepen the marine layer and create some drizzle and light rain. Then later in the day mountain showers with 1/2 inch of rain possible in the mountains. It will be similar to yesterday (Thursday)

Saturday will be quite chilly with highs in the 60s only and snow in higher elevations.

No real rain coastal, but drizzle and light rain is likely with 1/10 an inch possible coastal.

Sunday into Monday the system hangs close enough to give a chance for mountain showers but for the most part just cooler temps.

Now the good news is, Tuesday and through the week we will get into a gradual warm up. Temps by Thursday will get into the 80s in the valleys and 70s coastal.

At this point next weekend will be more spring and early summer like with coastal fog and much warmer in the valleys.

This will make the next 2 months quite a bit warmer just over the pass in Santa Ynez with our Typical May-gray and June-Gloom. At least the drive to warmth is 35 minutes away.

Enjoy the a reasonable day today, then cooler and damp through the weekend.

Thank you! The new downspouts have completely stopped the drumming of drips when it rains!
