Good Thursday morning,
Today is the opening day for MBL Baseball. A new season of 160 some games start today … that’s a lot of games.
Weather wise, it will be a typical spring like day for us, but to the north it is going to be a wet day, as a large low-pressure system is bringing lots of rain in SFO to the north into the Pacific Northwest https://zoom.earth/
For us, no rain, maybe just a little on the central coast, but only cool and damp here, As the front passes later today the winds will pick up and blow through Friday. Higher surf today from the south due to the low-pressure system over the Pacific churning up the water.
Friday we will see more sun as the front moves east, but cool in the 60s and windy.
Saturday will be a fair day, cooler with a weak ridge for the day.
Sunday another weather system, mainly in the north will bring a chance for rain all the way to Ventura. Rain will drop off quickly as it turns point conception.
Rain chances really start up later Sunday or Sunday night at this point, but focus will be SLO county, very little here at this point.
Next week is looking wet mid-week. It looks like we will see a decent storm Wednesday with a possible atmospheric river.
We will see how this all plays out, but models are favoring ½ to 1 inch of rain from next week’s system.
I guess our rainy season is not over yet, and since we are way behind for the year, we will take whatever falls out of the sky.
An interesting fact with rain totals for the year. NOR Cal is above normal for the season. That’s good for our water since we still be most of our water from up North.
Stay tuned, enjoy the surf and Baseball today
