Good windy Sunday morning,

You can see the wind pattern with clouds flowing down from the north
https://zoom.earth/maps/satellite/#view=43.1,-125.9,4.35z

This system arriving today is taking a more inside track, which means it is moisture starved and we will see less rain and more wind because this is a very cold system.

Snow levels overnight will drop to 3000 feet. Rain that occurs will be showery in nature and 1/4 inch or less.

Monday and Tuesday colder and windy, with northwest winds.

Wednesday and Thursday the next system arrives. This system is looking stronger with 1/2 to 1 inch coastal and 1 to 2 inches in the mountains. It will also have a more southerly component so Santa Barbara can see more rain than other areas.

Once the mid week system clears out we will see a nice rest of the week and weekend with 70s for all and 1 more hour of evening daylight next Sunday.

Looking into the week of the 10th to the 15th it looks like we will be getting into a wet pattern with above normal rainfall predicted. Still to far out to pin down, but it looks like a wet pattern the second week of March.

Have a great day, not a lot of rain, but you will feel the wind

Jack Martin
