Good Friday morning,
Looks like another weekend is arriving and overall it has been a quiet work week for weather. Nice warm weather has been the story, but this is going to change as we get deeper into the weekend.
Today we start with dampness and fog. Typical fall weather along the coast. Temps today will be mild with low 70s along the coast and low 80s in the valleys both today and Saturday after the fog burns off.
Sunday we start to feel the changes, first with the temps with highs only into the 60s along the coast and 70s in the valleys.
This is due to a weather disturbance in the gulf of Alaska that will bring a deeper marine layer, possible drizzle in the morning Sunday and Monday. The winds

This is a very typical fall pattern with rain chances still staying in the north only.
As the system approaches California it will produce some winds on and off into early next week, and much cooler temps with damp mornings.
The only flying the ointment is hurricane kristy out in the pacific. This might bring higher surf and high clouds into next week. (See zoom earth)
All in all the warm to hot weather will be replaced with cooler weather and some winds next week.
It does look like there is no real rain in our forecast through next week and likely into the first week of November, but generally we do see rain within Halloween and the first 2 weeks in November. We will see if this comes to pass. The best chance is looking into the weekend of the 10th.
In the meantime time pack a sweatshirt and expect your car to be damp.
Have a great weekend, and Go Dodgers!
