4/3/24
OMG, you know how I always start with the date in my reports. Well I found myself typing 4/3/59 for a brief second.
Yes, it is my Birthday, with a few other special people I know. Happy birthday Dina and James. (shoot I am officially a senior citizen)
It is funny to think of significant years from past for birthdays. What comes to mind was turning 18 you can vote, 21 you can go to bars and drink, 25 your car insurance goes down, because you are now a grown up.
Then there is a long dry spell until 65. I can sign up for Medicare and get discounts at the grocery store.... I am not sure if I am ready for that, because I would have to show ID with my age 😊
Ok my little chuckle for the day, now the weather.
Today, perfect day… Sunny warm temps above normal … great day for a birthday 😊
Thursday, big changes… 10 to 20 degrees cooler with a system coming in from the northwest https://zoom.earth/
Rain will hold off till late I the day, and it will be on the lighter side. looks like ¼ to ½ inch of rain. The biggest thing with this system will be the low snow level dropping to 3000 feet over night Thursday.
Friday will be quite cold, highs only in the 50s with some showers . This is a very cold system, but has no subtropical moisture support, so rain total will remain low.
Friday due to the cold air there is a 20 to 30 % chance for thunderstorms. You might even wake up to a little snow in the local mountains. clearing and sun will re appear by noon Friday.
Great news for Saturday we will see the first weekend in awhile with out rain. it will be cooler, but 6 to 8 degrees of warming. Sunday a weak system starts to approach, but it looks like no rain with this one.
Any rain should remain to the north … Hopefully we are now approaching the end of our long, extremely wet rainy season.
I don’t know about you, but I believe most of us are ready for sun and warm weather.
If you are a one of the few that loves rain, book a trip to the pacific northwest it will rain there for at least a few more months.
Have a great sunny day and sun will return Friday afternoon and all of Saturday.

Thank you for coming up to do the demo for the Career Fair at Los Prietos. All the boys were fascinated by the chance to see how sheet metal is formed, and to do some of it themselves. A hands-on demo is always the most effective in getting the boys involved. We really appreciate your arranging the demo, especially since you had already put so much energy into the talk and demo you did for the Construction Technology class. The teaching and Probation staff were all impressed by how involved the boys were in your demo.Richard Anderson Instructor
