The special date has arrived. 2/22/22. It will be 11 years and 1 month and 11 days before we align numbers like this again.

Today we will have an interesting change in pattern with cold arriving later in the day. The coldest low-pressure system of the season is blasting down from Canada to the North. This will make our weather quite different from what we have seen most of February https://zoom.earth/

Cold temps show up later in the day and the mercury drops overnight with freezing temps for the next 2 nights.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s.

As far as the rain goes, it will not produce much. This is moisture-starved and expects only 1/10 to ¼ of an inch.

Santa Barbara and Ventura will be on the Lee side of the rain, so we will see the least amount of rain, likely 1/10 of an inch or less.

Rain will start-up in the afternoon, with it building as the day progresses. By Wednesday morning the rain is over.

Tonight, snow in the mountains, 1 to 3 inches with snow level dropping to 2000 early Wednesday morning. Hopefully, we will see the rare view of snow in our local mountains, and the ocean 10 miles away.

The winds will be with us through Wednesday before they calm. North northwest winds

Thursday we will start to transition back to offshore with warming temps and sunny skies through the weekend.

We should rebound into the 70s over the weekend and possibly warmer the first of next week.

Unfortunately, this will do nothing for our lack of rain, it will just be an interesting 24 hours

We are hoping for the March Miracle, which starts on Tuesday of next week

Bring a jacket for the next few days, it will be chilly!
