Good Wednesday morning,
It has been a few days, since my last report. Sorry for that, but sunny weather has been keeping me very busy trying to catch up from the rains.
The sunny and dry weather will continue for the next weeks at least. This is great news. Even better, the weather in the next 2 days will warm up.
Today it looks like the main story will be the north winds. https://www.weather.gov/lox/
Mountains will see 45 to 55mph gusts, Santa Barbara south coast 35mph this afternoon.
This all results in warmer temps into the low 70s in some areas. As a matter of fact, we will see 2 warm days with above-normal temps.
Friday there is a slight chance for rain, but more in the north, none here.
The weekend is looking good with a slight ridge and warmer Saturday. Sunday, we cool back down into the mid-60s.
Next week the dry weather continues, with most of the week looking dry at this point.
This time of year. We can count on a 7-day forecast, beyond that it is an educated computer guess.
Enjoy the dry weather, we earned the break.
All the rains have put us anywhere from 170% to 230% of normal rainfall to date. That’s great, but Cachuma really has not changed much.
Jameson and Gibraltar are rising nicely. As soon as Gibraltar fills all the water goes straight to Cachuma http://www.countyofsb.org/pwd/water/downloads/hydro/rainfallreports/rainfallreport.pdf
Enjoy. Remember the wind today
