Good Monday morning,

Don’t despair, the rain is still on it's way. The rain is falling just north of us with good rain totals in SLO.

Rocky butte in SLO has received 4.65 inches so far. If you were watching the 49ers game last night, you saw how hard it was raining there.

The system was expected to slow down some and it has stalled over SLO. This is great news for the southern Sierras as rain totals will be much higher.

Rain is now moving into Santa Maria and will pick up to the south soon.

Rain should arrive in Santa Barbara around 7:30 am and the heaviest rain 8:30 to noonish, delayed around 2 hours from Sunday’s forecast.

Rain is now starting in Lompoc:

As mentioned, this is all good news because where we really want the rain totals will be more in the mountains. Totals locally have not changed.

1 to 3 inches Santa Barbara County with good South flow. The Santa Barbara mountains will see enhanced totals 2 to 4 inches.

Ventura, you will see the rain around 9 am then, the rain arrives in LA late morning. Totals Ventura south, start to drop off to .5  to 1.5 inches.

After the storm, the sun will arrive around 1 pm with some mountain showers continuing into the evening.

Tuesday through Friday, warm, sunny and offshore winds. The weekend we cool off some, but no rain the rest of the week.

This will make it great for the Kids that have not seen Halloween and trick or treating for the past 2 years.

t’s hard to believe we have been dealing with COVID for that long.

Enjoy the rain, the good news is you will be able to see it falling.
