Good Wednesday morning,
As the last week in October approaches, most of us think about Halloween. “Not Jack “ I think about the first rain of the season.
It is funny, as I type the weather report, the Governor has declared extreme drought and a winter with below normal rainfall.
Maybe someone should send him my weather report, because his timing is not good, as Nor Cal will get rain for the next 5 days.
Excitement is ahead and it is looking to be a strong storm system. We are looking at 1 to 2 inches Monday, not just a little light rain.
This will be thanks to a big low-pressure system that will shoot waves at us over the next 4 days.

Monday’s system will combine with an atmospheric river with PWAT 1.7 inches of rain embedded.
As the attorneys always say in disclosures, we will need to confirm this forecast as it gets closer to the event. 😊
That day will be Friday as we fall into the 72-hour period, and short-range models, timing can change 12 hours either way.
So that’s the excitement, now the current forecast.
Today, a system to the north will reach n Nor Cal, and do nothing more then give us some clouds.
Thursday, a nice warm day will give us highs in the low 70s coastal and upper 70s in the valleys.
Friday, another wave rolls off the parent low and drops as far south as SLO and northern SB county.
Saturday same idea, as the low drops south, some light rain to northern SB county of no more than 1/10th of an inch.
Sunday the unsettled rain will begin for all, the exact timing is still not clear, but at this point lighter rain will begin is SLO Sunday day.
Then drop south Sunday afternoon and night . The heaviest rain for all Monday, with the atmospheric river creating heavy rain and possible flooding.
Bottom line excitement is ahead, stay tuned. Friday will tell us exact timing.
Enjoy, and Happy birthday Karen, this forecast is for you.
