Good Friday morning,

Good news it is, the 101 is back open.

The fire is still burning at 11% containment, but the winds in our area has calmed.

Now the winds shift to Ventura south and they now have a Red flag alert.

Today and through Saturday it is all about the hot weather.

Looks like mid to upper 80s through Saturday thanks to Santa Ana wind conditions.

Windy in Ventura south with 20 to 30 miles an hour Santa Ana warm winds.

Sunday, we start to cool down as 2 weak systems approache.

The first system north of Hawaii, then the second from the Gulf of Alaska.

These will do nothing more than cool us down, bring back fog and maybe some drizzle.

Mid-week, we look to see another system pass through, but all eyes are on the weekend.

Saturday through Monday, we will see a storm system bring a good chance for rain to the entire forecast area. Yes, this is still a ways out, but long range models are bullish on the first real rain of the season.

In the meantime, we are not stuck on an island 🏝 any longer. You can go places without tons of traffic. That being said, who would want to leave SB this weekend, because the weather will be better here than any where in this US.

Enjoy the great summer weather.
