Good Friday morning,

It is still pleasant outside with cool temps this morning. Enjoy them while they last, because it all changes Saturday night. Where lows overnight are expected to be 75.

Santa Barbara will be the cool spot this weekend at 95 degrees. https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-119.6967315673828&lat=34.43013349299815#.X1Ithi0iefB

The heatwave starts today in all the valley areas. We are expecting triple digits in most locations for highs of the day.

This is thanks to high pressure over the 4 corner states, bringing us one of the hottest weekends in 10 years.

Saturday and through Monday the heat wave will blanket the entire forecast area, including all coastal cities.

Today we are looking at a nice start to the day, but the mercury will quickly climb to be 87 in Santa Barbara and 100 in Santa Ynez.

Saturday, the heat continues to climb by 5 to 7 degrees. You can do the math.

SB in the 90s and valleys well over 100.

Saturday night, there will be no cool down, just hot.... lows will be in the 70s. Some locations in valleys will be in the low 80s.

Sunday will be the hottest of the days. "We will break records."

We will try a test and see if we can fry an egg outside.

Highs in SB will be mid to upper 90s. Beaches should hit 90 degrees.

Inland...oh my..... approaching 110 to 115 degrees.

Sunday night, one more hot one. Lows again in the 70s. My wife is going to be burning the AC while I will be in a winter coat.

Monday looks to bring us a break, if you consider a cool down of 5 degrees a break. It will still be 8 to 13 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Tuesday we back off another 5 to 7 degrees, which brings us down to just a few degrees above normal.

Labor Day typically marks the end of summer for most of the United States, but for Southern California it just marks the start of the hottest 2 months of the year.

September and October are generally very warm.

Also ocean temps are at there highest with 70 possible, but today and the weekend, a nice 66 to cool your feet and bodies.

You will want to put your feet and entire bodies into the water this weekend. So here is our tide schedule. High tide is going to be mid day.

Not a lot of room on the beaches, everyone will want to be closest to the water anyway.

Enjoy the heat, because you don’t have a choice.... 😁
