Good Saturday morning,

What a week we have had. Trying to keep up with all the Action on and off the weather front.

Today I need to get caught up with the weather since I was distracted yesterday trying to figure out if it was work as normal for the construction industry.

Thankfully it is essential according to California state government, as it should be.

Now the weather, there has been a lot of Action this past week. We certainly welcome the rains.

This week has produced great totals and all lake levels have been rising.

Today will be a dry day, so get outside and go for a hike or walk on the beach.

There is a low pressure system to the west of us currently. This is too far out to sea to cause us any rain until Sunday.

Tonight and by dawn, the system will move closer to us. It will be around 200 miles off shore.

This will allow for rain to start up north to south. We have 3 models to look at.

Two models show the rain moving in later on Sunday, the other late morning.

We will figure this out later in the day, but expect rain to start up some time Sunday.

This will be a good storm with rain totals of 1/2 to 1 inch coastal and 1 to 2 inches in the foothills and mountains.

We will also see south flow, so Santa Barbara hills like Montecito will see higher totals.

Depending on when the rain starts, we will see rain into Monday. Showers at the least.

Rain fall rates should remain under 1/2 inch per hour. This is also a warmer storm so no snow will fall in the local mountains.

Tuesday we get a break, also looks like at least part of Wednesday before another system moves in.

This system looks to be weak and will only give up scattered showers sometime Wednesday into Thursday.

All the rain has been doing us good with lake and reservoir levels. Gibraltar is now over 100% and spilling into lake Cachuma.

I will give lake levels on Sunday. Tide schedules today for those beach walkers, low tide will be 3:30 Pm today. High tide is 8:30 this morning.

Get outdoors and enjoy the day.
