Good Sunday morning,

It is hard to complain about the lack of rain after a day like Saturday.

What a fantastic mid February day it was. I hope everyone got outside to enjoy it.

It was just another picture perfect day to share with all. Even Pearl was very happy to be outside and chasing the ball.

If you did not get out Saturday, you have the opportunity to do it today. It will be a repeat of Yesterday.

I can tell you, there were tons of people at the beaches, just trying to get into the parking lot at Hendry’s beach was a challenge.

Cars were backed up on cliff drive trying to get into the parking lot. Get there early, it will be worth it, you will be able to walk miles.

Low tide is 10 am today, so walk the beach from 9am to noon and go to the right on the Hope Ranch side of Hendry’s Beach.

You will not be disappointed.

As everyone is aware, our lack of rain for our 2 wettest months has been a disappointment at best.

For 2020 we have only received 1/2 an inch and no rain in February to date.

Where this is a disappointment, Lake Cachuma is still at 71%, so we are not in trouble water wise.

This week we will remain dry through Thursday, but models are looking at some changes Friday and into the weekend as finally a storm system might bring us some much needed rain.

This will not be a Barn burner system, but anything will help. Hopefully we will also see the storm track come back our way and drop some wet stuff over us.

As the week goes on, we will see how the models translate the forecast. At this point 2 long range models agree we should see some rain Friday into Saturday.

By Tuesday we should have a pretty good handle on what is to come late in the week.

In the mean time, enjoy why we have chosen to live in this area where real estate, taxes, and cost of living here is so high.... why do we do it, because it is worth it.....

This is the best place on earth in my eyes ...

Enjoy and have a great Sunday.

Thank you! The new downspouts have completely stopped the drumming of drips when it rains!
