Good Saturday morning,

The weekend has arrived. This morning as you walk outside you will know off shore has turned to onshore flow.

At 4am I could feel and smell the dampness in the air as I feed Pearl. Of course she is back in bed now!!!!

Today will be a nice day, with just some dampness this morning. Highs will be in the upper 60s, still a nice Saturday.

Tonight the cold low pressure system moves closer to us. Once again it will get cold… I can’t remember a winter that has been this cold in Santa Barbara.

Sunday, the low pressure system will affect our weather. The models have really struggled with this system for rain. Cold is a given and a winter advisory.

For the mountains is through Tuesday. Some mountain snows are likely ….as far as wet stuff, rain/snow, the models are now beginning to trend a little wetter.

Unfortunately a little wetter means 1/10 of an inch and a littler wetter south of Ventura. We will all feel the dampness Sunday with some drizzle possible Sunday morning.

We will have to see where this low lands to decide if we will see more than just drizzle.

Monday, onshore turns to off shore. We should see a pretty windy start to Ventura and south with a Santa Ana wind event.

As far as next weeks weather, we are looking to be dry through the work week. At the end of the week, we will see another cold storm out of the gulf of Alaska.

This is looking to have a better chance to bring us rain. We will see how it all develops… God knows we need more rain…

Enjoy your weekend, every day is getting a little longer. The light of day starts earlier and lasts longer.

Look at the difference from now till the end of the month. Daylight is really starting to get longer.

Thank you! The new downspouts have completely stopped the drumming of drips when it rains!
