Good Friday morning,

It sure was nice of the rain to hold off until the end of the work day. Rain started up around 4:30 in the afternoon and fell till around 10pm. “well after my Bedtime ! :) “

We received around ½ of an inch in most locations from SLO to Ventura. The winner was San Marcos pass with almost an inch.

The rain is now gone and a colder day is the story of the day. Highs will only be in the upper 50s.

High pressure will build in today and keep us dry through the weekend.

Today you will see a lot of high clouds with partly cloudy skies . highs in the upper 50s and lows in the 40s.

Saturday and Sunday will be nice days, still some high clouds. Overall a slight warming trend with highs in the low 60s.

“I would prefer some low 70s, I must need a vacation! “

Monday and Tuesday, the weather service calls for ”unsettled weather.” This means they really do not know for sure.

There will be a low pressure system approaching, but it appears to be weaker.

There will be a slight chance for a light shower. (We will see how this shakes out over the weekend.)

Wednesday and Thursday, we are looking at high pressure building back in. Next week is looking pretty dry overall.

Most of January to date has been fairly dry. We had a couple of Thursdays with some rain, but nothing to note. Through this dry spell we are now beginning to fall behind our annual rainfall percentages.

Only a few areas over 100% of normal for the year:

As far as Cachuma goes, the lake level is still at 75% full, so that’s good news.

TGIF today, it is always nice to welcome the weekend.

Have a great weekend, love Santa Barbara even if highs are at 60. It is way colder everywhere else.

Philly will have highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s with snow. I will take 60.
