Good Sunday morning,

Waking up this morning in Santa Ynez it is a chilly 34 degrees. Maybe you should just sleep in today.

In Santa Barbara we are quite a bit warmer at 53 degrees, but all areas will remain below normal temps today. Highs in the low to mid 60s coastal and valleys. Mountain areas will be in the upper 50s.

It now looks like we will remain dry through Wednesday. Temps will remain below normal with highs in the low 60s and lows in the 30s to 40s.

The system that might have affected our weather on Tuesday now looks to remain north of us and not affect us at all.

On Wednesday we will remain dry, But high clouds will begin to push in as the next system will begin to arrive from the north. This one will bring rain. Timing looks like.

Wednesday after midnight and early Thursday morning for us. Rain totals do appear to be creeping up a little with a 3 to 6 hour period of rain. We should receive 1/2 to 3/4 if an inch of rain locally.

Snow levels will be low, 2500 to 3500 feet. This will likely create snow on the Grape vine on Interstate 5. This could create another traffic nightmare locally.

Friday we should have high pressure build back in and good weather will prevail through the weekend.

Enjoy your Sunday. It is back to work on Monday.
