Good Thursday morning,

Christmas night brought lots of excitement for the Santa Barbara area. The winner was Montecito for 1.80 inches in the past 24 hours.

Santa Barbara was close behind with 1.57 inches. The 5 day totals are approaching 5 inches in numerous areas. That’s quite a bit of rain.

Yes this does put us above normal for this time of year. The low is right over us now.

Today the showery pattern will continue, mainly the first half of the day. Showers are moving into Goleta soon.

This afternoon we begin the clearing process and we will see dry weather through Sunday.

Sunday night, the next system begins to roll in. Models agreement varies with this system.

It is still too far to know how it will affect our weather, but it does look like we will see some rain Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday looks to be dry.

Have a great day, hope everyone had a good Christmas.
