Good Tuesday morning,

7 days till Christmas Eve day and it does feel like Christmas out there.

Cold this morning with 32 in Santa Ynez and low 40s in Santa Barbara.

The Santa Ana winds are blowing hard to the south with a 74 mile an hour gust last night in Santa Monica mountains.

Catalina harbor also has been pounded from these winds.

Wind will continue through the day, then begin to back off this afternoon.

For today, we will be cool in Santa Barbara with highs in the 60s. Some high clouds will filter through this morning ahead of the next system.

Tonight, low pressure moves in from the north and west. This will bring some lighter rain to SLO and northern Santa Barbara county.

Looks like the rain will draw a line in the sand right at Santa Barbara. This is not a big rain maker. Maybe 1/4 of an inch for SLO and 1/10th down to Santa Ynez.

Wednesday, the same results with only a chance of rain.

Thursday into Saturday we will have dry weather.

Sunday, we will have the next system roll in. This one looks to be stronger with more precept.

Aa a matter of fact, long range models are calling for a wet pattern through Christmas.

Have a great day, and we will give you more on Wednesday morning.
