Good Saturday morning,

Yes, just to make sure you know what day it is.....

We are in a very interesting pattern with chances of rain for the next 7 days.

You can see the low pressure system spinning off shore and pumping subtropical plume towards use.

This will create rain later in the day. The rain will not be heavy, but we are expecting 1/2 to 1/4 of an inch throughout the area tonight and into Sunday.

As the plume narrows Sunday, the rain will focus on a smaller area.

Looks like the target area remains the central coast where like rain will continue on Sunday and perhaps Monday.

It just depends where the plume goes. A chance will remain in the forecast for all except LA where no rain is likely.

More rain is likely from Monterey to Morro Bay.

Tuesday the Jet sags as the low begins to move south. This will spread rain into all areas Tuesday night and Wednesday.

This will bring moderate rain. “no definition of what moderate means in total at this point.“

Thursday maybe still a few showers, but likely a dryer day ....

Friday and Saturday there is chatter about another system affecting us.

As you can see, we are in a wet pattern. This is vert predictable this time of year.

For the next 3 months we will typically see 1 to 2 weeks of rain, then a break for a week or 2.

Typically we see light to moderate rain November and December, then heavier rains January and February.

March is always a wild card 🤔

We started out slow with no rain, but the past week is making up for it.

Next week we will see more and totals should bring us above and well above normal for the year to date.

Hang in there, sun will return.

The big Santa Barbara CIF game tonight will bring 50s and wet weather.

The rest of the country is also getting hammered with the system we had Tuesday and Wednesday as it marches across the country.

It will be on the East Coast by Sunday with lots of snow, with road and Air delays.

Welcome to winter, 21 days till winter solstice.

Then each day begins to get a little longer. In the meantime, short daylight is the reality for the next 2 months.

Have a great weekend.

We will see sun and warm again, just not for another week or so.
