10/22/19 Heatwave

Good Tuesday morning,

Monday was quite hot. High in Santa Barbara of 91 degrees. Today we should even be hotter. 90s and some locations seeing us top triple digits.

Yes welcome to the Santa Ana season.

I think Johnny Carson said it best. People say Southern California does not have 4 seasons.

Well they are wrong, we have fire, flood, wind and rainy season.

We are in the wind season. At least Ventura and to the south. There will be one more day of a moderate Santa Ana event, with winds and a high fire danger.

If you watched the news you saw some wind driven fires pop up in many southern locations.

Those areas will have one more day of this before a brief break for a day.

For us, all the wind has shifted south. We are just left with the heat.

Wednesday, we will calm and cool a bit, as the wind dies down for a day.

It will still be hot, but SB will be in the 80s and LA in the low 90s.

Moving into Thursday, a moderate to strong Santa Ana wind event starts up again.

This is going to raise temps and the fire danger to all our friends to the south of us.

Strong Santa Ana event will be through Friday, then Saturday we will cool off and winds calm.

Next week is looking like a low drops south. Inside slider.... means no rain, just more wind .....

Hang in there, we will get through the heat and wind.

Rain is coming, just not here yet.
