Good Friday morning for some, if the wind is not part of your morning coffee.

Here is SB, it is calm and no real wind to speak of.

If you roll 40 miles to the south it is a whole other story. There

will be one more day of high winds at Ventura and south. You can see the red on the map.

Winds will peak again today at 55 to 65 miles an hour in the mountains. This has created some fires in Ventura and the 210 freeway over night. It will be a tough day for firefighters in those areas.

It does appear the winds will begin to back down later in the afternoon. Today will also be noticeably warmer, because all the cold air from the north has worked its way through. Some areas will likely see 90s today.

For the weekend, the winds calm down and we will have a warm weekend for all.

Monday, a weak system rolls in and lowers the temps to start the week.

To my friend down south, hang in there today. The winds have 12 more hours to give you trouble ...then you can enjoy the weekend.
