Good Saturday morning,

An interesting day and evening ahead.

Low pressure is building in today. This is going to create some wind during the day, but the real event will be later in the day, evening until midnight. Winds today will be all over the board, Southwest, south. It changes this afternoon to west and northeast. Northeast winds will really affect the Montecito hills. Northwest winds affects Gaviota, Goleta and San Marcos Pass areas.

The weather models are showing both solutions. We will have to see how this plays out for the wind event.

Winds today will compress and drive the temps up tonight into the 90s. It will be a warmer night. Wind speeds in the mountains 40 to 60 miles an hour, coastal 20 to 30. The same is for Sunday night with another round of sundowner winds, but Monday we start a cool down. Highs will be in the 70s and bring on a marine layer.

The question on weather SCE will shut down power is still in in the Air. There are 4 zones that can be affected. Take a look at the link, it will show you.

Have a great Saturday, and we will see what happens later in the day.
