3/29/19 Weekend Weather

By Jack Martin on Mar 29, 2019 at 03:58 PM

Good Friday morning,

The weekend is fast approaching and warmer weather will be part of it.

Yesterday we had those northwest winds start up in the afternoon and blow into the evening.

Winds are calm now, but we will have 1 more evening of sundowner northwest winds.

Expect winds around 35 miles an hour from the northwest, with Gaviota peaking at 50 miles an hour late in the day.

Saturday, the winds turn to the northeast and Ventura south get the wind. This will also heat up the air with a good off shore wind event.

Saturday will have highs in the mid 70s, calm winds in Santa Barbara. Gusty winds in all Santa Ana wind prone areas, Ventura to Santa Clarita.

Sunday, this will be the warmest day. Highs in the low 80s and a real treat for outdoor lovers.

Monday will be almost just as nice. Looks like highs in the upper 70s. Another great day.

Tuesday, a weak low pressure system moves in. This will cool us and create some marine layer, but no rain.

Wednesday and Thursday look to have a weak ridge and dry weather. As advertised earlier, it looks like the first dry Wednesday in awhile.

Friday, in the distance… a low pressure system will affect the weather with possible rain.

We will see how this all shapes up, but we are getting closer to the end of the rainy season.

Enjoy the great weekend.

Last weekend in March. We welcome April 1st Monday…
