3/4/2019 Rainy Week

Good Monday morning,

It seems week after week all we talk about is the rain. Thinking back, I think we have had rain every week for over a month, approaching 2 months.

That’s the way to break the drought, even if it is getting old….

Today we will see clouds, but no rain. Temps will be cool and below normal. This has been a trend for over a month.

Tonight, the low in the pacific moves closer to us. This is going to drift to the northeast and draw in the subtropical moisture.

This is a good sized low that will stall as it moves east. Rain will start up north to south Tuesday morning.

There could even be a little light rain tonight, especially over the central coast.

Tuesday rain will start up in the central coast, then move into Santa Barbara County around mid morning.

Rain will be heavy at times, with rain rates of around ½ per hour. South flow will create lots of rain in our hills they could see 5 inches.

Coastal Santa Barbara to Central Coast, we are even looking at 2 to 4 inches from Tuesday into Wednesday. Rain is going to be steady for a good 12 hours.

Then turn to showers over night. We could even see some thunder showers over night.

Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Where these occur, Rain rate could be at .80 inch per hour.

Ventura and LA will see rain start Tuesday afternoon. They will not see as much rain as we will. 1 to 2 inches.

Ventura will likely be closer to Santa Barbara totals.

Wednesday will still have some showers through the day.

Thursday is looking dry, but Thursday night the next colder system rolls in.

This one will be lighter and colder with ¼ to ½ inch of rain. Friday showers.

Saturday and Sunday are now looking dry, but another storm shows up Sunday night into Monday. This will also be on the lighter and colder side.

Regardless of how you look at this weeks weather, it is going to be wet almost everyday.

Cachuma is at 64.7% this morning. Lets watch it jump 10% with the next storm system !!!!

Ok, you have 1 day to get ready for a wet week.

Thanks for the nice job you did on my house. My tenant appreciated how considerate and efficient your team was and commented on the excellent job they did. My husband and I went up to inspect the job yesterday, and we were very pleased.
