Good Friday Morning

I am proud to let everyone know that lake cachuma is now over 50%. That’s the good news from all the rain.

There is more rain to come. Looks like the next system will arrive tonight with a 3 to 6 hour period of rain.

This will be light to moderate, with rain rates of .25 per hour. Total accumulation of .25 to .50.

With some south winds, the Santa Barbara foothills could see as much as an inch:

Saturday day will be dry, but cold. Snow levels tonight will be around 4000 feet. Some snow in local mountains.

Late Saturday night into Sunday, the next colder system arrives. This has less moisture, but snow levels will be 2500 to 3000 feet.

We could even see some snow on the pass.

Monday through Wednesday day, looks like dry weather.

Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, we are looking at one more system.

The mid week forecast models are not in agreement at all when the rain will start or how much we will see. This will all need to be worked out over the weekend.

In the mean time, we will see 2 mild storms this weekend, allowing Cachuma to gain some more water...

All good news ... enjoy the rain....

Thank you! The new downspouts have completely stopped the drumming of drips when it rains!
