2/5/2019 Weather Report

Good Tuesday morning,

Looks like a little more rain today, but very showery in nature. The big story is the cold air and snow at lower elevations

https://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/nepac/h5-loop-wv.html

Today the snow level starts out at 3500 feet and will drop to 2000 feet over night. This could bring snow to the top of the pass, and Santa Ynez mountains for sure.

Today’s rain will be showery, no subtropical support. This is also sliding down with a more inside or over land track. This means less rain. Maybe 1/4 of a inch.

Tonight it will be very cold with snow levels at 2000 feet for what is left with precept.

Wednesday through Friday still looks dry, but Thursday looks like some clouds will be around as a dry disturbance rolls though.

Friday night all models agree the rain is back. This is a run of the mill storm, so rain totals will be 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Rain will flow into Saturday morning. Clearing later in the day. Sunday looks dry.

We are approaching 10 inches of rain on the pass. I am sure we will top that today ...

It has been the wettest 5 days I can remember in a long time ..

You deserve a break, even if it is for 2 1/2 days.

Cachuma  is at 47% and climbing.
