Good Saturday morning,

Well it is game on…. We have received around ¾ of an inch of rain so far, but the event is just starting.

The heavy rain is starting up in Santa Barbara right now. Heavy rain will fall from 4am to 10am in SB. 6am to noon Ventura and 7am into the afternoon in LA.

Here is the radar right now:

This is not about only heavy rain. South winds in the mountains have already been clocked at 70 to 80 miles an hour. Wind gusts along the coastal areas and foothills locally will be 50 miles an hour. This will only enhance the rain rates. It is going to be a wet and windy day. No reason to go outside today. Looks like the Ventura river will reach it banks around 2pm today. Other streams will also create flooding.

You are in for quite an event today.

Rain should taper this afternoon. Then we will see more rain through showers tonight.

Sunday will be more of the same. Sunday night the next system rolls in. This will bring rain through Monday. More showery in nature, but will add another ½ to ¾ of an inch.

Then comes Tuesday. Forecast models are now calling for more rain Tuesday.

This will give us rain 5 out of  6 days, before we get a break on Wednesday…

Be safe out there. You are in for a 6 hour E ride.

Thank you! The new downspouts have completely stopped the drumming of drips when it rains!
