Mid-Day Update 1/31/19

Wow, that was impressive for a weaker Thursday storm. 1.5 to 2 inches fell quickly.

Now it is dry and sunny, for 24 more hours.

Then look out.

The national weather service has now upped the rain totals and hourly rates for the next system Friday night and Saturday.

Rain rates will be .50 to 1 inch per hour and possible 1.25 per hour.

Rain totals have also jumped, especially on south facing areas, like Santa Barbara and Montecito. It looks like 2.5 to 4 inches coastal and foothills, up-to 7 inches in the mountains.

I figured this warranted a mid afternoon update. More in the early morning, but this will be the biggest to date.

Thank you for the facia repairs and skylight cleaning. We hope all those termites and dry rot stay away from our new boards for a long time!
