Rain Is On the Way

Good Tuesday morning,

Here is the low spinning off the coast as discussed yesterday.

This storm is further off the coast than normal and there are northeast winds. This will dry up some of the rain.

That being said, this is a good sized storm. If these factors did not come into play, this would be a big storm.

Rain will start up today in SLO county late morning, then drop south late in the day.

Rain will arrive in Santa Ynez late in the afternoon and Santa Barbara around 5 or 6.

Rain will continue over night and half of Wednesday. We will then see on and off showers through Thursday afternoon.

This system will be more showery then the last. Also rain rates will be less because of the east winds.

All in all, we will see decent rain in Santa Barbara .75 to 1 1/2 inch. LA will see less, 1/2 to 1 inch.

The further east you go the less rain you will see. This system will land in the Baja on Friday.

If heavy rain falls, it will not be until Thursday and it will be quick and short bursts.

Rain clears out Thursday afternoon. Then we will be dry through the weekend.

Next rain is Monday night into Tuesday. This system is advertised to be lighter at this point.

Talk to all around 5am on Wednesday.

Have a great day.
