Monday 12/3/2018 forecast

Good Monday Morning,

Well here it is, the next rain system.

Take a look at its position. It is much further south than a typical storm starting out of the gulf of Alaska.

This creates 2 issues. The storm will likely track over the coastal waters more, creating less rain inland.

In addition, there is going to be some East winds that will dry the air, creating less rain inland. (Notice I say inland).

The coastal areas will still see pretty good rain total. Santa Barbara County should see the most rain. 1 to 2 inches.

Rain will start up overnight on Tuesday. Rain will not likely make it to LA until Wednesday.

For us, we are looking at rain Tuesday night, all of Wednesday and showers on Thursday.

Friday will be dry, and it now looks like the weekend will be also.

It seems our pattern of rain mid-week will continue. More rain likely next Tuesday into Wednesday.

This sure screws with any work week plans for a roofing contractor, but we deal with what is dished to us.

We do need the rain.

Also, cold and frosty out there. The next system will likely create some snow on mountain tops in the Santa Ynez valley.

Someone please get me a picture. That's one thing I miss about living in Santa Ynez.

Hope everyone has a good week, and we will be there with your morning coffee on Tuesday.
