If you look at the satellite picture, you can see the low just spinning off the coast. It has stalled and that is why the delay in the start of the rain.

Today, we will see light rain to start, with heavier rain this afternoon. They are now saying 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Winds are out of the southeast 10 to 20 miles an hour.  This will increase the rainfall over SB, because of our south facing mountains.

Rain will turn to showers later in the afternoon. Then end tonight.

Also take a look at this satellite picture. There is lots of action in the pacific, with a hurricane near Hawaii and another south near the Baja.

Crazy weather this year....

For the extended forecast, we have dry weather returning Thursday.

Then for the weekend an eddy will form over Catalina and bring the marine layer to 5,000 feet.

This will keep it quite cool and damp. All weekend.

Also news flash, Sharon just reported no power in Buellton. Not sure why, but some maybe late for work.

Ok have a nice wet day, it has been awhile since we have seen rain.

Thank you for your prompt response. I am so grateful for what you did. All through the following rain storms I was thanking you. This is what, in my mind, is an incredible business response. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
