Remembering Back to January 9th

I was reading this article today..

https://www.noozhawk.com/article/post_disaster_surveys_expose_failures_warning_messages_evacuations_20180602?utm_source=Noozhawk%27s+A.M.+Report&utm_campaign=fba2e150ad-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_01_11_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_cb376aba6e-fba2e150ad-247120877

Basically it stated that people that lived in Montecito were not properly informed and warned about what the storm could bring.

It is very interesting to read back and see what I was saying.

Crazy to read this after almost 5 months later…….

I remember on Saturday night, the 7th of January, my niece got engaged and I was talking to one of her good friends who had just had a baby. She lived up against the creek at olive mill road.

I told her "DO NOT SAY AT HER HOUSE ON MONDAY NIGHT"  3:30 am I woke up and the first thing I did was text her and said are you ok? She texted back and said she stayed at her parent’s house.

I was relieved.

Crazy to think back on this nightmare.
