Good Chilly Morning

Well it is not as cold as it could have been. This is thanks to the winds out there, keeping the temps up some.

Santa Ynez valley is 30 degrees right now, with Santa Barbara coming in at the low 40s.

The north winds have also been blowing all night. This will just make it feel colder, with the wind chill affect.

If you look at the satellite picture, there are lots of clouds around, with a low well out at sea.

Today, expect a colder day, highs in the 50s after a cold start. The winds should die down later today.

Tonight will be the coldest night. Expect cold temps with lots of 30s and 20s everywhere.

Wednesday brings another cold inside slider. This should just bring us wind, from the northwest.

Wednesday night, cold, but not as cold as Tuesday.

Thursday will bring one more inside slider. This one looks to have a little more punch, but rain for Santa Barbara is not likely due to the system approaching from the north. Other areas can see some possible rain, but this is moisture starved.

Friday and through the weekend, a slight warm up, but nothing like what we have seen earlier in the month. Temps will be below normal.

That brings us to next week, and a ray of hope for rain. Where this is still a ways out.

Models are suggesting a pattern change that can set up for a good soaking. We will just need to watch how this develops. In the meantime, rain possible early next week.

Ok that’s it for today, a chilly start... dress warm...
